1.1 SOUTH AFRICAN CRICKETERS' ASSOCIATION (SACA)
The South African Cricketers'Association (SACA) is a constituted association established by players in June 2002 to engage Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Provinces (later to become the six regional Franchises) on matters relating to players in professional cricket. It has an Executive Committee elected by the players and a Chief Executive Officer responsible for its operations. SACA also has a senior player representative in the Proteas and in each of the six Franchise teams. SACA is a registered trade union, and is also a member of the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations (FICA), which represents players on common interest issues at the International Cricket Council (ICC) level.

1.2 SOUTH AFRICAN CRICKETERS' ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT (PTY) LTD.
SACA Management is an incorporated entity wholly owned by SACA and responsible for managing the players' commercial programme within cricket. SACA Management is the commercial manager of the South African National Cricket Team Trust ( SANCTT ), the South African Professional Cricketers' Trust ( SAPCT ), and the Player Benevolent and Social Responsibility Fund. It has a board of Directors appointed by SACA's Executive Committee.

1.3 THE PLAYER TRUSTS
1.3.1 THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL CRICKET TEAM TRUST (SANCTT)
The South African National Cricket Team Trust (SANCTT) is a trust established for the benefit of players representing the Proteas and the members of Proteas team management. Its Trustees are the Captain and Vice captain of the Proteas, and the CEO of SACA. The Trust holds the commercial rights of players including their image and attribute rights as team members.

1.3.2 THE SOUTH AFRICAN PROFESSIONAL CRICKETERS' TRUST (SAPCT)
The South African Professional Cricketers' Trust was established by SACA for the benefit of players representing the six regional Franchise teams namely the Cobras, Dolphins, Eagles, Lions, Titans, and Warriors. Its Trustees are appointed by SACA while SACA CEO,Tony Irish, is the founding trustee. The Trust holds the commercial rights, including player images and attributes of the Franchise cricketers as team members in relation to their use in domestic competitions.
The SAPCT Trustees are:
1.3.3 THE PLAYERS' BENEVOLENT AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FUND
The Players' Benevolent and Social Responsibility Fund is established to enable players to demonstrate their support for benevolent, charitable and social responsibility causes. It will also enable players to assist current and ex-professional cricketers in times of need or financial hardship.
This Fund is integral to what players believe is part of their role as responsible stakeholders in the game.
