Once a design is approved, we develop/programme the website. There are two ways we do this. This can either be straight HTML/CSS where the website is built using the basic building blocks of the web, but is not easy to update without specialist knowledge.
The second method is using a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS is software which facilitates the creation, publishing, distribution, organisation and management of digital content. They provide you with all the tools necessary to populate content on your site after training. We work with WordPress and Joomla!, two of the most popular and well supported Content Management Systems on the Internet. With these systems, you can purchase pre-built systems/templates which are quicker to set up and less expensive but give you less flexibility in terms of design and functionality.
The other option is to build the site from the ground up on the CMS, thereby allowing for a custom build but using a robust system. Most of our client prefer custom CMS development.
